I want to tell a story of some happy times

When everyone could gather creating soothing rhymes

A place where all the people would meet and come and go

Where only love would show

 

So many beautiful people could all speak and get together

Where hearts and minds were sharing art and love forever

We’d raise our spirits to the sky

The sun would shine our reasons why

 

The skies were blue, the oceans wide

Our hearts were true deep down inside

Love would always rule the day

Truth will always lead the way

 

But now we’re lost without a home

With no direction left to roam

The message came from way up high

To take away our love and sky

 

We did not question what was said

We played along and gave up instead

Is it not time to change this view

To end this crime keepin’ me from you

So where are we now, do we pay the bill

Or assent our freedom ever still

Is it time to realize, how ‘bout now, to open our eyes

If we say yes, we begin the trial,

Oh we must rebel, not drink the vial

 

Once again we’ll be free to move

To be with others, to share our groove

So let us not project a lie

Let’s share only love, at least we try
