                    California Blues

 

The sun is warm, the people friendly

New dreams are born, the climate gently

Heals our souls and pure our minds

Makes us whole, but never binds

So now we’re all just sittin’ pretty

And out of nowhere in our city

They say there’s a plague unleashed

They lock us down and we believe

 

Just like sheep we toe the line

Whatever you say, that’ll be just fine

We lock the sick and the well

Then the whole word goes to hell

It seems this is a bigger plan

Open the flood gates and release the dam

And if you have a point of view

Keep it to yourself, it won’t be true

 

All the masses fall in line

To do what’s right, in blood they sign

When all the smoke does clear away

And new seedlings start to sway

Every man will have their say

Returns to peace and love I pray

This is the California, California Blues
